Duration: 220 days, renewable up to 3 years

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer (ETLDEV) to join a public sector client based in Barcelona. This role is fully offsite, offering the flexibility to work remotely while contributing to key ETL development and data integration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complex SQL Development: Write complex SQL for data transformations and performance tuning.

  • dbt Projects Management: Develop and manage dbt Core and dbt Cloud projects.

  • Data Integration: Integrate data from external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.

  • Data Pipeline Orchestration: Orchestrate data pipelines using Airflow or similar workflow tools.

  • Version Control: Utilize Git-based version control systems (GitHub, Azure DevOps).

  • Data Warehouse Design: Design star and snowflake schemas for cloud data warehouses.

  • Python & Jinja in dbt: Leverage Python and Jinja within the dbt ecosystem to enhance ETL processes.

Requisitos

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field.

  • 8 years of experience writing complex SQL for data transformations and performance tuning.

  • 8 years of experience developing and managing dbt Core and dbt Cloud projects.

  • 8 years of experience integrating data from external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.

  • 6 years of experience orchestrating data pipelines using Airflow or similar workflow tools.

  • 6 years of experience using Git-based version control systems (GitHub, Azure DevOps).

  • 7 years of experience designing star and snowflake schemas for cloud data warehouses.

  • 3 years of experience leveraging Python and Jinja within the dbt ecosystem.

Optional Requirements:

  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) is highly desirable.
