Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer (MSFDE) to join a public sector client based in Barcelona. This role is fully offsite, offering the flexibility to work remotely while contributing to key Microsoft Fabric data engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lakehouses & Data Warehouses: Design and implement lakehouses and data warehouses in Microsoft Fabric/Azure Data Factory using automation frameworks (e.g., ProData Fabric DWA®).
Data Pipelines: Build and maintain data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric leveraging automation frameworks.
Legacy ETL Processes: Develop and support SSIS packages for legacy ETL processes.
Data Migrations: Plan and execute data migrations from on-premises to cloud environments.
Scalable Data Processing: Use PySpark for scalable, large-volume data processing.
Advanced T-SQL Queries: Write advanced T-SQL queries and perform performance tuning and optimization.
Scripting & Automation: Apply scripting (Python, PowerShell) and CI/CD automation to streamline data workflows.
Data Modeling: Design scalable star and snowflake schema data models for enterprise data warehousing.
Reporting & Visualization: Support reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
Mandatory Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field.
4 years of experience in designing and implementing lakehouses and data warehouses in Microsoft Fabric/Azure Data Factory using automation frameworks.
4 years of experience in building and maintaining data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric leveraging automation frameworks.
5 years of experience in developing and supporting SSIS packages for legacy ETL processes.
5 years of experience in planning and executing data migrations from on-premises to cloud environments.
5 years of experience using PySpark for scalable, large-volume data processing.
5 years of experience writing advanced T-SQL queries and performing performance tuning and optimization.
4 years of experience applying scripting (Python, PowerShell) and CI/CD automation to streamline data workflows.
5 years of experience designing scalable star and snowflake schema data models for enterprise data warehousing.
4 years of experience supporting reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203).
Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600).
Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700).
