ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?

We currently support European Commission in and we want you to join our team, based in Brussels, as a Java Full-stack Developer to join our team for working with European Institutions based in Brussels in an near site position.

in partnership with other Commission services and stakeholders, provides high quality
corporate solutions/information systems for the Policy Units in GROW, but also to Member States, enabling the successful implementation of the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies.
In close collaboration with other Commission services and its customers, DG GROW B3 builds and operates solutions in the following areas:

• Management and implementation of directives and policies.
• Support of and interface to enterprises and SME's.
• Financial management, reporting and monitoring of financial transactions.
• Contractual management.
• Control of business processes and workflows.
• Database management.
• Document and content management.
• Communication.
• Human resources.
• Interface and data exchange with Commission's applications and Information Systems

The Service Provider may work on different projects managed by the Digital Solutions unit of DG GROW, including ISC-Data and ETEAS The ISC-Data and ETAES projects form part of the European Commission's strategic initiatives to enhance information system frameworks for managing regulatory information and improving data
accessibility and integration within EU Member States. These projects aim to harmonize data exchange and streamline processes concerning emissions and type-approval in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
The ISC-Data and ETAES projects are pivotal components of the European Commission's broader strategy to enforce legislative compliance and enhance data systems concerning vehicle emissions and type-approval processes. These initiatives are aligned with Regulation (EU) 2024/1257, which governs the type-approval of motor vehicles and engines in the context of emissions and battery durability, and
mandates robust digital solutions to uphold these standards.
The ISC-Data platform must be updated in compliance with the Euro 7 directive requirements, harmonizing regulatory data exchange processes. The transformation planned by these projects is crucial to improving data accessibility and secure exchange among regulatory authorities, accredited laboratories, and other relevant stakeholders.
The role of these projects extends beyond compliance, contributing to reduced emissions, improved air quality, and public health protection. Furthermore, they embody an opportunity to increase transparency and enhance trust within the European automotive industry by standardizing data formats and implementing secure data-sharing mechanisms.
The Commission is looking for a Full-Stack developer who can support the implementation of the required changes and functional enhancements in ISC-Data and ETEAS.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?

• Development and maintenance of our IT systems
• Definition of the proposed solutions for fixing or improving our IT system
• Documentation of the existing IT systems
• Assistance with in identifying improvements to our IT systems
• Coordination and review of the current IT systems
• Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers
• Support of users by answering their queries about existing IT systems .
